You should not be satisfied with cleaning your teeth solely in the morning and evening if you wear clear braces. Brushing at least three times daily ensures that your clear brackets are free of food particles. If you consume dark-colored drinks, particularly black coffee or soda, you should wash your teeth immediately after. An electric toothbrush can help avoid tooth discoloration and discoloration of the clear, ceramic brackets.
Avoiding staining foods and drinks decreases the chances of tooth or bracket discoloration. Examples of such include tea, coffee, and alcohol. If you do consume these, bring along an electric toothbrush so you can clean your teeth and brackets right after to avoid any discoloration.
Flossing is beneficial when it comes to eliminating food particles lodged in your teeth and braces. Brushing your teeth isn’t enough to get rid of all the stuff stuck between your teeth, so floss no less than once each day to avoid issues like bacteria buildup, gingivitis and severe tooth discoloration.
