COVID Safety Precautions
We hope that you are healthy and getting ready to start integrating into a changing world. We are excited to have you back in our office to continue your care and make progress on your dream smiles.
In light of the worldwide pandemic, the CDC, the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists have made some recommendations to keep our patients, team members, and families safe.
At our office, we are implementing additional precautions.
To accommodate social distancing needs we are implementing a virtual waiting room. We ask that you call or text us when you arrive in the parking lot. While you remain in your vehicle, we will ask you a few screening questions before we invite you into the office. To limit the numbers in the building we ask that only the patient come into the office unless they are under 10 and require 1 parent to attend. If a parent attends, please bring and wear your face mask. We will take the temperature of the patient and anyone attending the appointment. So that our reading is accurate, we ask that you refrain from drinking anything hot, such as coffee or tea, within one hour before the appointment.
If you have been exposed to a communicable disease, you may spread the disease to the orthodontist, orthodontic staff, or other patients/parents in the practice. Therefore, before each appointment, we will be asking the following questions to reduce the chances of transmission:
Have you, your child, or anyone accompanying the patient has been exposed to COVID-19, tested positive for COVID-19, been diagnosed with COVID-19, or been asked to quarantine in the last 2 weeks?
Do you, your child, or anyone accompanying the patient has a fever, cough, shortness of breath, pain, pressure, or tightness in the chest, or loss of taste or smell?
If any of the above applies, we will ask to reschedule your appointment.
To comply with social distancing requirements, we are unable to accommodate a line of patients scheduling at the front desk. To help with this we have integrated a cell phone app that can be used to schedule your next visit and give you access to many aspects of your patient chart.
Go to the Android or Apple App Store and download “Dolphin MyOrthodontist”. Set up a username and password to access your patient chart and the scheduling feature. When you set up the app, choose from the office search “Imagine Braces” and enter the email, patient name, patient birth date, and responsible party name that our office has on file. If you need help with these values, please text our office and we can respond with assistance.
